11/12/09 Here we are at the last recording day, in the air the flavour of last days of summer, the feeling of having lived unforgettable moments and having built something special. Last choruses, solos, light changes and additions to the direct recording. Its 10 pm, the work is finished, the faces are tired but satisfied. We’re taking down the instruments in the studio. We exchange smiles and friendly slaps on the shoulders with the sound engineer and the other studio technicians, goodbye to the next experience. This part is over, let’s look ahead. After seven years committed to the roots of jamaican music, learning the secrets of that sound, they will finally show you the lesson they learned recording original songs written with love and devotion to the original jamaican sound. Many many many world wide famous musicians passed through the gates of the historical " Officine Meccanicche" studios in Milano and it's now the time for the One Droppers to leave their sign. Stay tuned for more news. Keep in touch the One Droppers 01/09/09 Hi guys, it's a lot of time since little more than nothing is happening on our website, but we aren't sleeping! New website, new italian's gigs, finally, and maybe a recording session... We've been playing a lot in Germany (thank you people, you're always a great audience!) and we're putting up the line up for our album. For real! A great bunch of original track (many of you heard three or four of them at our latest gig) composed with the love of the best 60' jamaican sound in mind, ears and fingers! While this summer will be a little on the slacker side due to big personal changes in some of us's life, count us in for a great, hot, skanking autumn and winter!
